Ringwood Road closed between Verwood and Ringwood

The main route from Verwood to the A31 at Ringwood is currently closed due to a fallen tree near the Alderholt turn off at Bakers Hanging.

1800 Update: The road has now reopened.

Officials say a tree hit a car and emergency services, including Ambulance and Police, are on the scene on the B3081.

If travelling out of Verwood, motorists are advised to use the B3072 via Three Legged Cross.

There’s also a tree down at Hurn near Hurn Post Office, at the end of Matchams Lane and Poole Road is currently blocked in Wimborne for the same reason.

The A35 between Burley and Lyndhurst is also blocked.
