Verwood Fire Station is hosting an open evening for anyone wanting to know more about the role of a firefighter.
Verwood and Cranborne Fire Stations say they are looking for new on-call firefighters to visit them on Tuesday 10th March between 7-9pm.
“Come along and see what it takes to serve YOUR community and become an On-call Firefighter. The role of a firefighter is a career for anyone, the only restriction is age. You must be at least 17 1/2 to apply.
“You will have an opportunity to meet the team and try your hand at a number of activities.”
The activities include:
- The Equipment Carry
- Breathing Apparatus Experience
- Ladder Climb
- Equipment Assembly
Booking is not required but a Facebook Event has been set up to gauge the number of people attending.
