Ringwood Road at Three Legged Cross was closed to vehicles due to a collision on Wednesday afternoon.
Dorset Police closed the road from the Three Legged Cross roundabout with Verwood Road, to just past the Hillier Garden Centre.
The incident, first reported at 2.03pm, involved two vehicles that both needed to be recovered.
There were no injuries and the road was back open around 4pm.
