Fire crews from Verwood and Ringwood attended an address in Ringwood Road, Verwood on Monday afternoon following a call about an alarm sounding.

Haze could be seen through the window of the property and on arrival a small fire was located in the kitchen.

This was extinguished by the crews using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet and the property was then ventilated.

The electricity board also attended at the request of the crews in order to isolate the electrics.

The incident happened around 12.30pm on Monday near Moneyfly Road.

Verwood Fire crew were also called out on Sunday and Monday to different incidents in the town.
