A 235m stretch of Newtown Road in Verwood will be closed to allow Openreach to carry out work in the area starting on June 15th 2022.

The Public Notice relating to the restrictions says the road will be closed to all vehicles for up to five days, but the work is expected to be completed after two.

The closure affects Newtown Road between Manor Road (B3072) and the junction with Lake Road between 9.30am and 3.30pm, including access to the Lake Road Surgery car park.

It will allow Sunbelt Rentals – agents for Openreach – to access underground plant and overhead structures in the highway.

A diversion will be signposted via Burnbake Road.
