An accident in Lake Road resulted in the fire service, ambulance and police attending the scene.

Verwood Fire Station reported attending the incident just after 9pm on Friday evening at which point a car fire had already been extinguished.

Dorset Police was also in attendance then the ambulance team then arrived to take over looking after two casualties.

We are awaiting more details but in the meantime, a post on social media from Verwood Fire Station says: “Pump was mobilised to a car fire in Lake Rd. On arrival we found an RTC, the fire had been extinguished.

“Crews dealt with two casualties until an ambulance arrived. We left the scene in the hands of the police. Pump returned to station at 2305.”
