Verwood fire crew attends 44 acre fire near Edmondsham

Crews from Verwood Fire Station have been helping put out a large 44-acre fire near Edmondsham today.

Eight fire engines, eight Landrovers and a water carrier also attended to help put out the blaze.

Yesterday the fire engine from Verwood was also mobilised to Boulsbury Wood, along with Ringwood, Fordingbridge, six Land Rovers/ Rangers and two water carriers nearby.

Multiple crews went back again this morning to deal with the fire burning in the peat.

There was also a small fire in Cranborne on Friday morning attended by Verwood Station.
