Seafoods Fish & Chips, based in West Moors, will be visiting Verwood on a weekly basis offering an alternative chippy for the town.

The first visit was on Tuesday evening and following posts on social media the team ran out of cod towards the end of their slot due to the number of people who visited.

Seafoods told VerwoodToday they’ll be outside Irving and Co Estate Agents in the town centre every Tuesday from 5pm till 8pm, and may add an extra night if demand is there.

The mobile van has been visiting local camps and holiday sites over the summer since being brought into operation in June, and will visit other towns including Fordingbridge (Social Club) from tomorrow and Cranborne (Cranborne Club) on a Friday evening starting in a few weeks.

A spokesperson added: “We’re starting to book private events for next year too, we welcome enquiries for any event.”

Verwood’s only other Fish & Chips shop, Harlees, continues to open from 4.30pm each evening and Monday to Saturday lunchtimes.
