Moors Valley officially opens new Adventure Valley activity zone

A new activity zone has opened at Moors Valley with an 18 hole adventure golf course and mini Land Rover off road experience.

The official launch event took place this week when even the treacherous weather conditions didn’t deter invited local schoolchildren, councillors and contractors that have been involved with the project.

The area is located just south of the current playgrounds, near the Visitor Centre, on what was previously an overflow car park area.

Adventure Golf transports users through the different habitats at Moors Valley, each with its own unique challenges and surprises. From grassland and woodland to wetland, every hole offers an exciting new experience.

It is created for young children aged 4+ and adults, with up to six players per group.

The Mini Land Rover Adventure lets kids drive their own mini electric off-road vehicle. They can experience the Rumble Road, Bumpy Lane, Seesaw Bridge and more.

Children will learn basic driving techniques, coordination, and decision-making while manoeuvring through the course.

It’s designed for children aged 3-10, with a maximum of two children per vehicle, driving two laps or 20 minute drive time. It’s the only course of its kind in the area, with similar mini Land Rover adventures usually limited to places such as Center Parcs.

Both are open weekends and Dorset school holidays from 11am – 3pm until March 2024, in all weather conditions!
