Extra electric vehicle charge points are planned for the West Moors Service Station in Ringwood Road.

The garage has been granted planning consent to remove one electric vehicle charge bay and to demolish the two jet wash bays to create a new EV charging zone with six units, together with a new canopy and other improvements to the forecourt.

The garage is owned by the Motor Fuel Group – the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator with over 900 sites offering a dual-fuel strategy, convenient retail and ‘food to go’.

It says it wants to provide access to convenient and affordable charging, regardless of where the driver lives.
