Three young boys arrested on suspicion of robbery behind Morrisons in Verwood

Detectives have made three further arrests as they continue to investigate an alleged robbery off Chiltern Drive in Verwood.

Between 2pm and 2.30pm on Monday 23 October 2023 the victim – a 15-year-old boy – was reportedly assaulted by a group of four teenage boys in the forest behind Morrisons.

It was alleged that the offenders stole the victim’s coat, jumper and jewellery. One of the boys was reportedly in possession of a knife.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his face and shoulder.

A 15-year-old boy from Verwood was previously arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on police bail.

Following further investigative work three further local boys – aged 11, 12 and 13 – were also arrested on suspicion of robbery. The 11 year old was released under investigation and the 12 and 13 year olds were released on police bail.
