Verwood Runners held their annual Christmas run on Thursday evening with over 60 runners taking part, some in Christmas fancy dress.

The run around a pre-planned Verwood route included various treat stops, manned by the core team and some Christmas helpers.

Fancy dress was optional, with most embracing the chance to run dressed as Santa, elves, chocolate wrappers and more.

The evening ended with drinks hosted by The Hub.

A spokesperson for the club told VerwoodToday: “As always the run was extremely well supported and received and everyone had great fun.

“Verwood Runners meet every Tuesday at Potterne Park in Verwood at 7pm and at The Hub on a Thursday, again at 7pm and welcome runners of all abilities – the only thing we ask is that they can run 5k in about 45 mins.”
