David Sidwick has been re-elected as Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset.

He’s won the most votes in both Dorset and BCP area elections, with the results announced on Saturday afternoon (2nd May 2024).

In BCP, he got 20,782 votes compared with David Stokes who attracted 14,325 votes, Marianne Storey who got 13,624 votes, and Howard Legg who had 6,754 votes.

In Dorset, Conservative David Sidwick got 57,994, ahead of David Stokes on 26,884, Howard Legg on 34,774 and Marianne Storey on 32,237.

David Sidwick has been the Conservative Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner since 2021 and plans to cut crime and anti-social behaviour.

Dorset Police Chief Constable Amanda Pearson said: “I would like to offer my congratulations to David Sidwick in being re-elected as the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset.

“We look forward to continuing the progressive and productive relationship we have developed in the last three years and will be ready to assist in the further delivery of the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan.”
