The collection dates for bins over the festive period will change slightly once again this year – please take a look at the table below to find out the dates.

The only other difference is that the council will collect up to two extra sacks of rubbish beside your bin on your first collection day after Christmas Day, and extra recycling if placed in your own boxes (no bags) with glass kept separate.

Household recycling centres are open from 10am till 4pm every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

The council also reminds us that not all wrapping paper is recyclable – those made from foil or glittery paper is not recyclable.
