Temporary traffic lights operating on the B3081 Verwood Road between Verwood and Ringwood are causing delays for vehicles.
Patching work is taking place around ‘Bakers Hanging’, closing one side of the road during the day.
It started on Thursday and is expected to last till Monday 19th October, although this could be longer.
Delays are expected in both directions, with reports of over a mile of queueing traffic heading out of Verwood past the Somerley Household Waste Recycling Centre.
An alternative route out of Verwood is using the B3072 via Three Legged Cross to Ringwood Road and Horton Road to reach the A31.
