Police investigating assault in Morrisons car park

A man has lost a tooth and damaged another after being punched in the face in Morrisons car park.

The incident happened at around 4.25pm on Tuesday 23 February 2021 and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

As the victim, a man aged in his 20s, went to get into his car he was approached by another man and punched a number of times, causing him to fall to the ground.

The offender is believed to have got into the front passenger seat of a black BMW, which then drove off. He is described as white, around five feet ten inches tall and of slim build with short blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing pale blue clothing.

Police Constable Erin Hill, of East Dorset police, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this assault. I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area at the time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything relevant.”
