Residents are invited to gather at Verwood’s war memorial on Sunday 8 November and Wednesday 11 November for two remembrance events organised by the Royal British Legion.
Sunday’s commemorations begin with a service at St Michael’s Church at 9.45am, followed by a march at 10.45am. Those attending the gathering at the war memorial are asked to arrive at 10.50am.
The march will follow a slightly different route this year, leaving the church along Church Hill and continuing to Dewlands Way before turning onto Manor Road.
Participants will then proceed to the crossroads, turn right onto Station Road and form up beside the war memorial at Ferrett Green.
A two minute silence will be observed at 11am, followed by the laying of wreaths at the memorial in front of the Heritage Centre.
A separate gathering will take place at the war memorial at 11am on Wednesday 11 November, Armistice Day.
Both events are open to everyone.
