Confusion over new restricted parking signs in Lidl car park

New signs have appeared in the Lidl car park in Verwood instructing shoppers to input their vehicle registration plate on a terminal in-store.

But no such terminals exist and VerwoodToday understands these terminals will not be arriving anytime soon.

However, only two of the newly erected signs mention the terminal whilst the others don’t, leading people to assume a couple of wrong signs have been installed.

The sign also says there is a 90-minute maximum stay and vehicles parked in disabled bays must display a valid blue badge.

There will be no charge for shoppers using the store providing they complete their shop within 90 minutes and stick to the terms of the parking.

The car park is camera-controlled and anyone outstaying their welcome will receive a fine in the post.

The new signs are similar to those already in use at other Lidl stores including in Ringwood, Ferndown and Bournemouth.
