Police and Fire emergency services have attended an incident involving a car smoke bomb let off in the Newtown Lane area of Verwood.

Verwood Fire Service were called out to The Mews at Meadow Court on Thursday afternoon and removed the grenade which was found inside the vehicle.

“Crews removed the object and handed the incident over to the Police for further investigation,” Verwood Fire wrote on Facebook.

Dorset Police were also called out and confirmed the vehicle was unoccupied, and that nobody was injured.

Enquiries into the matter are ongoing and so far no arrests have been made.
