Planning application submitted for 38 more homes in Verwood

Plans for Phase 3 of the housing development off Eastworth Road in Verwood have been submitted to Dorset Council.

There are 38 homes proposed with a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 storey houses and apartments with up to 3 bedrooms.

They include 10 affordable units, 4 shared ownership and 5 first homes.

In the application, Pennyfarthing Homes say dwellings are set well back behind the Eastworth Road frontage and positively address the street with an active frontage. A strong landscape frontage is proposed to Eastworth Road, with existing vegetation retained and enhanced with native planting.

The entrance to the site is through the adjacent phase 2 development via Edmondsham Road.

Car parking will be provided in garages, on driveways and in designated parking areas. Additional parking spaces are proposed in lay-bys adjacent to the principal access route and on private drives, in line with Dorset Council standards.

The homes will also be provided with appropriate EV charging infrastructure.

Phase 2 of the development containing 187 homes is currently being built off Eastworth Road, with some houses already sold and in use.

The planning application reference is P/FUL/2022/03125.
