Two events planned for Verwood to commemorate remembrance weekend

Two memorial events are taking place in Verwood this weekend giving local residents the opportunity to come together to remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces and emergency services.

At 10.50am on 11th November, there will be a gathering to pay respects to the Fallen at the War Graves, St Michael’s Church, with everyone welcome to attend.

Then on Sunday 13th November, there will be a Memorial at 10.50am (after a Church Service at St Michael’s) at the War Memorial, Ringwood Rd (near to the Heritage Centre).

At 09:45 a Service will be held in St Michaels Church Verwood.

At 10:45 the company will March from St Michaels Church to Ferrett Green.

At 11:00 after a two-minute silence wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial.

Please note the slight changes to the Marching route from St Michaels Church to Ferrett Green.

Leave St. Michaels Church, via Church Hill to Dewlands Way turn up Manor Road to the Crossroads then turn right on the B3081 (Station Rd.) and form up by the war memorial.
