Changes on the high street in Verwood this month include the closure of Renoufs Cheese and Wine Bar and the opening of another barbers.

Customers with reservations at Renoufs were told this week that the bar has closed permanently, and follows the business being put up for sale in December last year.

Signage on the property has changed to Olive & Oak.

Renoufs Verwood opened in 2019 just months before the pandemic hit, and joined a network of six other Renoulf bars around the area.

Meanwhile, Istanbul Barbers has opened in the former Hays Travel shop, next door to Champion Barbers. It is open seven days a week and do not require appointments to be made in advance.

The Verwood Sports and Social Club has also closed – it served its last pints on Tuesday, and the Albion Pub recently closed its doors citing increased energy costs.
