Police looking for man following report of voyeurism

Officers investigating a report of voyeurism in St Leonards are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

It was reported that at around 7.50am on Monday 28 November 2022 a woman aged in her 30s was getting changed in a cubicle in the mixed changing rooms at the leisure centre at Oakdene Forest Park in St Leonards. She dropped her phone and when she went to pick it up, she saw a man looking under the gap in her cubicle.

The victim challenged the man and he left the scene. She then reported the incident to staff.

FRIDAY UPDATE: Following enquiries into the incident and a CCTV appeal, a man has come forward and is assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.

Police Constable Jim Perks, of East Dorset police, said: “This was a distressing incident for the victim, and we are carrying out a number of enquiries.

“We have obtained CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to as part of our investigation, and I would urge anyone with information relating to his identity to please contact us.”
