A man in his 30s has died at the scene of an industrial incident in Coopers Lane in Verwood on Tuesday morning.

Another man has been arrested in relation to the incident which happened around 9am.

Multiple emergency services rushed to the scene, including the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, with Coopers Lane closed off as a result.

Dorset Police tells VerwoodToday: “At 8.57am on Tuesday 3 January 2023 Dorset Police received a report of an industrial incident in Coopers Lane in Verwood.

“Officers together with the ambulance and fire services attended.

“Sadly, a man in his 30s died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been made aware.

“There is currently a cordon in place to enable an investigation of the scene. A man has been arrested in relation to the incident.”
