A vacancy has opened up on Verwood Town Council, with residents invited to apply for co-option to represent Stephens Castle ward.
The council is looking to fill one seat and is now seeking candidates interested in serving the local community.
The role is unpaid and voluntary.
Application forms can be requested by emailing towncouncil@verwood.gov.uk and the deadline for applications is Thursday 13 February 2026.
The selection process will take place during the full council meeting at 7.30pm on Tuesday 24 February 2026 at the Council Offices, 28 Vicarage Road, Verwood, BH31 6DR.
Applicants who are unable to attend the meeting in person will still have their applications considered.
The notice has been issued by Town Clerk Ms C A Lloyd.
Residents who are passionate about local issues and keen to play an active role in decision-making in Verwood are encouraged to apply.
