A theatre tribute to one of rock music’s best known performers is set to take place at Verwood Hub on Friday 10 April.
The Rod Stewart Songbook will feature Pete McCall, described by organisers as one of Europe’s leading tribute performers, appearing alongside a live band for a show spanning five decades of music.
Audiences can expect a set including Sailing, Maggie May, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy, Some Guys Have All The Luck, Baby Jane, Rhythm Of My Heart, You Wear It Well and Hot Legs.
Promoters say the production focuses on recreating the sound and style associated with Rod Stewart, with attention to stage presence and costume. A past review described Pete McCall as “the next best thing to seeing Rod himself”, while Rod Stewart’s sister Mary Cady is quoted as saying he was “excellent”.
The performance is scheduled to begin at 7.30pm.
