Businesses have been evacuated and access restricted following a suspected gas leak at Ebblake Industrial Estate in Verwood.
Forest FM is reporting that traffic is currently being prevented from entering the estate via the traffic light junction at Black Moor Road, with a cordon in place around the affected area.
Workers were asked to leave premises as a precaution, with emergency measures understood to have been put in place to manage the situation safely.
Drivers are being advised to avoid the area while restrictions remain, as disruption is expected on surrounding routes.
There has been no official confirmation yet from emergency services about the cause or scale of the incident, and it is not yet clear how long the restrictions will stay in place.
