Police searches were carried out in Verwood on Sunday after a report of an altercation involving a man and a woman who were known to each other.
A helicopter was seen circling above the town as residents reported several police cars in the Edmondsham Road area.
Dorset Police said a report was received at 4.12pm on Sunday 31 May 2026 and related to an incident in the Heathpoult Road area, at Potters Wood.
Initial information suggested the woman had suffered serious injuries, prompting officers to search for those involved.
Police have since confirmed that no serious injuries were sustained.
The force also said no offences have been confirmed at this stage.
Officers are continuing to make enquiries into the circumstances of the incident.
