The next Verwood Carnival will take place at Potterne Park in 2022 rather than its usual location at the Fuzzy Bit.

Next year’s event is scheduled to take place on Bank Holiday Friday, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, on June 3rd from midday.

The Carnival procession will also take a different route, starting at the Fuzzy Bit and ending up at the new site in Potterne Park.

The event has not run for the last two years due to coronavirus restrictions.

Event organisers say: “We are in full planning to run a special carnival to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and now there is a Friday bank holiday, we plan to hold the carnival on Friday 3rd June 2022.

“So please make a note in your diaries now.
