A fire in a first-floor bedroom at a house in Three Legged Cross was extinguished by firefighters from Ferndown and Verwood on Sunday morning.
Crews from the two locations were called to a domestic property just before 10am when flames were seen in a bedroom window.
The occupants safely left the building with nobody injured, according to an update from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service.
Firefighters extinguished the room using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet, then followed damping down procedures.
