Recent changes at Morrisons store in Verwood include the addition of more self scan checkouts for trolly users and the removal of staffed checkout lanes.

The self-checkout area previously included a basket only area, plus two units for trolley users.

But now some of the staffed checkouts have been removed to fit in a whole new area containing six trolley self scan places.

All new tills were in use during a recent visit by VerwoodToday – along with a queue to use them.

Lidl – Verwood’s only other supermarket – opened in 2022 with no self serve checkouts and remains that way.
