Verwood First School and Emmanuel Middle Schools are closed this morning due to a power cut at the school grounds.

Parents were informed of the closure at 8am on Tuesday, as pupils started to arrive for lessons as normal.

Both schools, which share the same campus at the bottom of Margards Lane, have no phones or internet for the foreseeable.

An engineer is currently on site and the schools will inform parents via Parent Mail once the situation has been resolved.
