The former Lloyds Bank on Manor Road in Verwood could become the new home for Verwood Pharmacy if a planning application is approved.

Pharmland, the company that operates Verwood Pharmacy at the Lake Road Surgery, is looking to move sites to a more central location.

If the move goes ahead, part of the building will be sub-let for office use and related medical and health services such as physio/therapy/chiropractor/chiropodist rooms.

The pharmacy would operate from 7am till 11pm Monday and Saturday, and 6.30am till 11.30pm Tuesday to Friday.

A new prescription collection robot is planned at the front of the premises to offer 24/7 availability to patients but this will be subject to a separate planning application.

Lloyds Bank closed in September 2022 leaving Verwood without a local bank.
