Thousands enjoyed an afternoon in the Verwood sunshine on Sunday in recognition of the coronation of their Majesties King Charles III And Queen Camilla.

The Royal Picnic in the Park played host to live music, events and refreshments along with a welcomed change in the weather making it a warm and sunny day across Dorset.

The day didn’t go without incident though, as the visiting fire engine got stuck in the mud and had to be rescued by a tow truck, which in turn also had to be pulled out by the rescued fire engine.
