A day of free music, food and entertainment is being planned in Verwood this May.

The Royal Picnic in the Park will take place at the Recreation Ground on Sunday 7th May 2023.

Live music throughout the day will be provided by various acts including Grey Day, Fayrewood, Vocalize, The TFI Friday Tribute Band, Rough Cutz, Charlotte Geary and the Verwood Brass Band.

There will be food and drink available to buy, residents can pre-order a grazing board from Dorset Grazing Boards & collect on the day or bring their own picnic.

There will be plenty of side shows & stalls, children can make their own crown, have their faces painted, climb the climbing wall or enjoy some of the entertainment and food that the Verwood Carnival team is putting on in advance of the full Carnival at the end of May.

Mr Pops Balloons will be there as will the “Friday Market” in the Memorial Hall.
