A new monthly social evening is being launched at the Verwood Hub to help residents meet others, discover local groups and get more involved in community life.
Called Community Connects, the event will take place on the last Wednesday of each month in the Hub’s café. Organisers say each evening will feature a different interactive talk, demonstration or activity led by local clubs, societies or charities.
The Hub said the aim is to create an informal setting where people can find out what is happening locally, try something new and widen their circle of friends.
A spokesperson said the evenings would offer “a different, lively, interactive talk or demonstration” each month and said they hoped it would be “a fun evening” in the recently refurbished café.
The Verwood Hub said sessions could also include chances to learn new skills, such as flower arranging.
Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and include a drink and nibbles. More details are available from the Verwood Hub on 01202 828740.
