Young riders are preparing for the first Youth Riders Skate Jam at Potterne Park in Verwood.
The event will take place on Saturday 23 May from 11am to 4pm, with a bike stunt show, scooter competition, pro scooter coaching, a judging panel, food and a live DJ.
Youth Riders started last year in Ringwood after being set up by local woman Charlie Keith. It has now expanded into Verwood, where Karen Pearson runs the training sessions.
The charity now has more than 100 riders signed up and holds weekly meets at skate parks in Verwood and Ringwood.
A team of trustees supports the group behind the scenes, helping children take part in events at local skate parks.
Organisers said: “Verwood Skate Jam will be a great event for the community and we can’t wait to see everyone enjoy it.”
