Regular live comedy shows are coming to Verwood Hub, with Angela Barnes headlining Coastal Comedy’s opening night on Saturday 17 October 2026.
The comedian, whose television appearances include Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo, will be joined by comedy magician Wayne the Weird and Welsh comedian David Arnold.
Locally based founder Adrienne Coles will host the evening and select the acts for the new series of shows.
She said: “I’m so excited to be bringing Coastal Comedy to Verwood Hub. The shows have become incredibly popular across the area and Verwood Hub is a great new venue for us to launch in.
“I want people to come along, have a fantastic night, support live comedy and enjoy a great
night out without breaking the bank.”
Barnes moved from a career in health and social care into comedy in 2010. She went on to win the BBC New Comedy Award and is a regular guest on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz.
Coastal Comedy was established in 2015 and stages shows at venues across the South West. The launch will feature three acts alongside the host, with further comedy nights planned at the Hub.
