Carey Marx

Carey established himself firmly as one of the top stand-up comedians from the British circuit, playing all the most prestigious clubs and festivals.

He has performed in every continent and claims to have travelled more in his life than he has stood still. A circuit veteran, Marx concocts his own blend of dark humour with mischief and glee. His wilful disregard for the controversial and taboo is tempered with his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places.

An international multi-award winner, Carey is no stranger to screen or radio with credits ranging from Channel 4’s Gas to BBC One’s The Stand Up Show as well as his own radio show, Intensive Carey (BBC Radio 4) adapted from his wildly successful 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show of the same title in 2015.

Kate Lucas

Award-winning musical comedian Kate Lucas is known for her razor sharpwit and deliciously dark songs. She combines catchy melodies with original lyrics to showcase her playfully bitter musings on life.

Audiences have come to expect examples of what not to say and how not to behave from this gloriously talented young comic. She took home the title for the prestigious Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year and her performances have been met with huge critical acclaim ever since.

She has built a seriously impressive reputation on the circuit, storming it every weekend to packed out crowds at the country’s most famous comedy venues including The Comedy Store, Manford’s, The Stand, The Glee Clubs, Banana Cabaret and Up the Creek. Her debut show Whatever Happened to Kate Lucas? was met with critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a hit Soho Theatre run to follow.

In 2019 she presented her second hugely successful showKate Lucas: Is Selling Herself, again achieving five star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe.

With this kind of phenomenal track record, this very special rising star is most definitely one to watch.
