The annual Verwood Christmas Extravaganza is planned for Saturday 10th December 2022 from 5pm till 8pm.

Once again, Father Christmas will be arriving on Ferrett Green during the evening to greet the locals and give presents to the children, and officially turning on the Christmas Lights in Verwood Town Centre.

The Verwood Concert Brass Band will be playing seasonal music, there will be carol singing, small fairground rides, face painting, a Children’s treasure hunt and more.

Food and drink will be served including hot coffee, mulled wine, candy floss, donuts, and a BBQ.

In addition, Forest FM will be providing entertainment and a fire service Land Rover will be on display.

Verwood Council, volunteers from Verwood Rotary, Flameburst, Verwood Carnival Committee, Verwood Concert Brass, Verwood Scouts ad the Heathland and Heritage Trust all work together to put on this annual event free of charge for the town.
