Further delays expected in Verwood with urgent Ringwood Road repairs

Temporary two-way traffic lights have been installed on the B3081 Ringwood Road to fix a burst water main.

The roadworks, by Wessex Water, started on Wednesday and caused long delays between Ringwood and Verwood just two days after the B3072 Verwood Road to Three Legged Cross was shut for scheduled work.

The traffic lights are near the junction with Virginia Close – near the Ebblake Estate – and are scheduled to be there till February 24th.

Sharing the news on Facebook, Verwood Councillor Toni Coombs said the lights will be manned and adjusted for peak flows to help vehicles get through faster.

The closure of Verwood Road to Three Legged Cross is scheduled to be completed this Friday, 17th February.
