Children at Orchard Day Nursery and Forest School have moved into a new building in Verwood, with the new setting opening its doors today after nearly 21 years in its previous location.
The purpose-built nursery sits alongside the original site at Trinity First School on Coopers Lane, with construction completed in under a year.

Staff described the moment as both emotional and exciting, reflecting on more than two decades of caring for local children while beginning a new chapter.
The nursery said it had supported “countless children” over the years, each leaving “a unique mark on our hearts”.

The team is now welcoming families into the new space, with a focus on continuing to provide care and early years support for the local community.
Orchard Day Nursery and Forest School said it is “thrilled” to open the new building and looks forward to many more “cherished moments” ahead.
A grand opening event is expected to take place in the near future.
