B3072 Verwood Road reopens ahead of schedule with temporary traffic lights

The closure of the B3072 Verwood Road between Potterne Park and Three Legged Cross has been lifted.

Temporary traffic lights are now in place as the roadworks continue on one side of the road rather than the middle.

It was expected to be fully closed to vehicles from April 17th at 9am to April 28th at 5pm.

Councillor Toni Coombs comments: “Once the works started and the issue was proved to be on one side of the road only and not in the centre of the carriageway traffic lights were installed and the road partially opened at 12:30 on Friday.

“They will remain in place for a week. However, if works are completed ahead of schedule then the road will reopen earlier.”

Dorset Council is working to get the road back open fully as soon as possible.

Elsewhere, roadworks have started on Horton Road between Three Legged Cross and St Leonards till April 28th, with temporary traffic lights in place.
