Children’s colouring competition launched

Children across Verwood are being invited to take part in a free colouring competition linked to the town’s upcoming spring horticultural show.

Young artists can pick up a colouring sheet from Verwood Library or download one online, before returning their finished entry to the library ahead of the judging deadline.

The completed artwork will be displayed and judged during the Verwood and District Horticultural Society Spring Show on Saturday 21 March at the Memorial Hall. Visitors will also be able to view the entries from 1.30pm as part of the event.

The competition is open to children and offers the chance to win a top prize, with additional runner up rewards also available.

Entries must be dropped off at Verwood Library before the end of the day on Thursday 19 March.

The Verwood and District Horticultural Society is organising the competition as part of activities surrounding its annual spring show, which brings together gardening displays, competitions and community exhibits.
