Moors Valley to close Monday morning for safety update

Moors Valley Country Park will be closed on Monday morning following the severe weather conditions on Sunday evening.

The park closed on Friday ahead of Storm Eunice, remained closed on Saturday due to a power outage and reopened on Sunday following an inspection by their Rangers.

A number of facilities remained closed due to the weather, including Go Ape, the Tree Top Trail, Cycle Hire and some sections of the Singletrack and Cycle Trails.

Moors Valley staff say a decision will be made on Monday about reopening plans following inspection.

Meanwhile, parts of the area remain without power following outages on Friday and over the weekend. Properties in the BH21 postcode around Three Legged Cross area should have power restored by 11pm Monday 21st February whilst SSE predicts the SP6 area will be back by 11pm tonight (Sunday).

There is a welfare van stationed at Blandford Leisure Centre, Mill Down Road, DT11 7DB providing free hot food and drinks to customers who remain off supply.
