Here’s what’s happening at the Verwood Carnival 2019

The Verwood Carnival has returned to a three-day event for 2019 and here’s what you can expect over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

The first thing to note is the three days are in fact Friday, Saturday and Monday. No events will take place on Sunday as organisers need to prepare the event field for the main event on Monday.

The Fun Fair will be open on Friday (5pm till 8pm) Saturday (1pm till 7pm) and Monday (12pm till 5pm), with an unlimited rides wristband available for the Monday only for a four hour period from 12pm till 4pm. Some of this information has changed since the event posters and brochure was printed.

On Saturday, a BMX Skills & Tricks Workshop will be taking place.

Then on Monday, 27th May, all the action will be on The Fuzzy Bit off Crane Drive. You can see the Carnival Queen and Princesses (pictured above), Field Entertainment, XTREME Stunt Team, The Gorillas, Birds of Prey Flying Display, stalls and more.

The procession will leave the Carnival Field at midday, at the same time gates will open. Verwoodians are encouraged to watch the parade then follow to the venue.

The route for the procession will be the same as last year – heading down Station Road, then Vicarage Road and Church Hill, along Dewlands Way and Dewlands Road, and back to the carnival field.

Admission is £4 per adult. Children under 16 are £1 or free if accompanied by an adult. See more details at verwoodcarnival.com.
