A small fire had to be extinguished by Verwood fire fighters on Tuesday morning in St Michaels Road.

The attending crew arrived quickly on scene and put out the fire which involved cut grass, straw and a wooden retaining fence.

They used two Hose reel jets to control the blaze just before lunchtime.
